Working in the SMC as
part of a dedicated team to ensure customers
agreed service levels are met. You will be
dynamic, proactive, able to work as part of a
team and alone. Must have an understanding of
Internet services & network integration. You
will be customer focused with excellent problem
solving ability. You will have 1+ years
experience in one or more of the following,
- Desktop
operating systems such as Sun solaris,
Windows, Windows HNT, Unix and Linux,
Windows 2000 would be an advantge
- Desktop
applications such as MS Office
- Exchange
(would be an advantage)
- LAN
technologies such as: Ethernet and Token
Ring
- Wan
Technologies wuch as: ISDN, ATM, SDH and

Working

experience. You will also be Microsoft CCNA or
MCSE qualified.

based operator seeks to appoint well motivated,
experienced technicians whose responsibility is

Technicians will be required to support Call out
and out of hours working requirements.. The successful
candidate will perform tasks associated with the
planning, installation, commissioning, test and
maintenance of the transmission and IP network to

include private line internet and data services.
You
will have hands on experience with WW&G PFA
35, ANT-20 domino, Digital Lightwave etc. ATM
Cisco 1600 - 12000 Routers and Cisco Catalyst 550
Lan Switch as well as Cross connects, Alcatel and
Nortel SDH ADM's and DWDM
1-3
years experience is desired working in the
Telecommunications/Data Communications field. You
must demonstrate excellent troubleshooting,
organisational, communications and supervisory
skills. A working knowledge inof stadard
telecommunications wiring practices and
associated hardware. Knowledgeable in
installation and test of high speed data
circuits, IP services including MPLS,
provisioning equipment and facilities with
Digital Cross connects, SDH ADM and DWDM.
Knowledge of Routers and IP as well as
Electrical, UPS and Mechanical systems. Must be
able to work inder pressure be self motivated
have excellent customer facing skills and
essentially a clean driving licence
